The presence of the Holy Spirit was with me all day last week with a repeated and strong thought. He was impressing upon me about the vindication of the Lord! To be vindicated is to be cleared of blame or suspicion and to be proven right. Like you, I have dealt with my fair share of disappointments and injustices. Like many of you, I’ve learned (sometimes with much struggle) to surrender these scenes to Jesus and to completely trust Him for the outcome. What I heard today is that He is bringing a divine vindication, restoration, and recompense.
He next confirmed this to me right out of the scriptures, saying “The Lord gives righteousness and justice to all who are treated unfairly” (Ps. 103:6 NLT). Have you been treated unfairly? Have you done the right things only to get the wrong things in return? Do you need to be vindicated? Then receive this word:
He’s setting wrong things right
You’ve waited a long time for your breakthrough in that situation and in that relationship. You’ve cried, begged, forgave and refused to hate. You’ve prayed, fasted, shown kindness while being mistreated, and were determined to keep a clean heart. He says, “I am setting wrong things right. I am melting hard hearts. It wasn’t you they were fighting. They were fighting Me in you, but I will win that fight. I will capture their hearts, and in turn, bring you peace.”
He’s making crooked things straight
There were some wrong paths, wrong decisions, wrong attitudes, and wrong actions done not on your part, but on the part of others. These were the crooked set-ups that broke your heart, stole your peace, and interfered with your life again and again. He spoke to my heart, “I am turning everything around for good. I will create beauty from the ugly and hard situations. I will straighten everything out, smooth things over, and set wrong things right.”
He is restoring, but with an exclamation point!
I heard these words, “Reinstated and restored!” Dictionary.com breaks down the word “restore” as being brought back, put back, and given back. You are being brought back into your excellent condition. You are being restored to your rank. You are being given back what was stolen. You are being repaired and renovated in such a way that makes a clear statement to your doubters, mockers, and enemies. You are being reinstated. Honor is being returned to you.
He will pay you back, and pay you back double!
There are many of you who’ve obeyed the Lord and did not deviate under pressure. You stayed in the assignment He called you to. Still you were persecuted, treated unfairly, dishonored, and experienced loss. You’ve had a Joseph experience, a Job experience, and a Daniel experience, yet you’ve remained steadfast in the waiting. The Lord’s firm promise to you is this:
Double honor for your shame;
Double possessions for what was stolen;
A double portion anointing; and
Twice as much as before.
Job’s wife encouraged him to curse God and die in his time of trouble. He did not curse the Lord, but remained faithful and steadfast in his affliction. How did God repay him? He gave Job twice more than he had before! (Job 42:10) The Lord does not forget the faithful. To the faithful, He gives double recompense. He will make a table for you in the presence of your enemies. He will show you off and pay you back! He will pay you back double!
With love,
